Automotive Composite Laminator

Morson Talent is partnering with a world-leading high-end automotive manufacturer to recruit experienced Composite Laminators. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the production of advanced composite components within a prestigious, quality-driven environment.

About the role

• Location: Essex
• Hours/Shifts: Day and evening/night shifts available
• Rates: Days – £22 LTD per hour | Nights – £25 LTD per hour
• Contract: Ongoing rolling contract, initially offered with the potential for extension

As a Composite Laminator, you will play a critical role in manufacturing advanced composite components for high-end automotive applications. Working to exacting standards, you will use your technical expertise to deliver high-quality, defect-free parts in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare composite materials, tooling and moulds for lamination.
• Complete accurate hand lay-up of pre-preg composite materials in accordance with technical specifications.
• Ensure the correct orientation, sequence and number of plies for each component.
• Vacuum-bag components, complete leak checks and prepare parts for cure.
• Maintain consistently high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the production process.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Composite Laminator within high-end automotive, motorsport, aerospace or a similarly precision-led industry.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials, pre-preg processes and associated manufacturing techniques.
• Proficiency in composite lay-up, vacuum bagging and autoclave processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, lay-up books and work instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, defect-free components.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
