We're looking for a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to lead a busy engineering team at a leading UK transport operator's bus garage. This role offers the perfect blend of technical work and team leadership, where you'll oversee maintenance and repairs while motivating your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of HGV/PSV Technicians and Fitters.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
- Manage workloads, productivity, and quality control.
- Maintain workshop records and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with management on fleet performance.
- Drive continuous workshop improvements.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Experience as HGV/PSV Technician with supervisory exposure.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
- Knowledge of safety and fleet maintenance standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence required; PCV licence desirable (training available).
