Lead Exterior Creative Designer – Performance Studio
Join General Motors' Design organization to lead exterior performance design for iconic GM performance vehicles. You'll shape aero packages, graphics, and motorsport aesthetics while leading a creative team. Your expertise in performance vehicle proportion, aerodynamics, and brand character will drive innovative design from ideation through production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and champion design that thrills enthusiasts.
What you’ll do:
- Lead exterior performance design concepts for new and existing GM vehicles
- Define design vision aligned with brand DNA
- Create high-quality sketches and digital models
- Mentor and inspire a creative team
- Collaborate across departments to balance design with feasibility
- Drive innovative graphics and visual signatures
- Stay ahead of performance and motorsports trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Transportation or Industrial Design
- 7+ years automotive exterior design experience
- Strong leadership and visualization skills
- Proficient with Adobe Suite, Alias, Blender, VRED
